Yanka Dzombak is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist working in various mediums, including painting, installation and new media art. Born in Crimea, Ukraine, Dzombak's artistic practice has been heavily influenced by the rich tapestry of fairy tales, folk music, real-life stories, and superstitions that were intricately woven into her childhood imagination.

Dzombak's current artistic explorations revolve around the impact of modern technology on the creation, perception, and assimilation of art.  She employs 3D modelling software for creating her imaginative realm into a digital format, subsequently transposing these images onto surface through the application of an airbrush and oil paint. In her installations she often repurposes discarded materials and natural found objects, giving them new meaning through transformative processes.

Guided by her penchant for metaphors and symbolism, she explores the intricacies of human self-perception, societal behavioral patterns, and the innate connection between humanity and the natural world.

Dzombak received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National Academy of Art and Architecture, followed by a Masters of Design from the Institute of Advertisement in Kiev, Ukraine.

Resides and works in Houston, Texas.
